Sport through the lens

With a bit too much time, I decided to compile list of things I would want for myself, and for fellow shooters in 2008.

I will avoid standard wishes as lots of health, bunch of babies, no annoying bosses etc. I’m sure, plenty of other people will wish you this, so it has to be enough, right? :)

So I will wish you something else. And here’s the list, so Santa, Dedek Mraz, and anyone else responsible for fulfilling wishes, listen very carefully and do your best :)
Just for info, Dedek Mraz is our version of Santa from years, when church wasn’t really most appreciated institution around here… like now it would be any better, and those self centered idiots would deserve… ehh let’s not go this way, ok? :)

Anyway my list:

- First I wish myself and all other fellow shooters lots of fast 3g connections, and even more of fast wifi connections, which preferably should be free and not 20eur/2hours!

- Cameras which would work out of box and not only after more then half of year of listening “no it’s not our fault, you just don’t know how to shoot” excuses.

- Friendly clients, who don’t call 5 minutes before end of match, why their photos are not on ftp already. This is something I wish mostly to others, since my clients are greatest, and they never bug me this way! So thank you guys and girls, for this. I really appreciate it :)

- Lots of nice weather when shooting outdoor sport. It’s more then enough, if it rains, when indoor sport is on program.

- No extremely icy alpine skiing courses. My skis and crampons are sharp, but everything has its limit, especially when ice skating down 45 degrees steep course with 15kg of photo equipment on shoulder.

- As little as possible annoying spectators on sport fields, who’s only pleasure of the day is to yell at us, because we are blocking his view to exit doors (or any other completely insignificant thing).

- Fancy (or not) monopod which would work normally in wet and cold.

- 3G phone which would work normally, constantly and fast…. also when thrown to deep snow in anger :)

- Nice rain cover which would work, and which we would never really need (see wish #4).

- Physiotherapist who would fix my back, without me being scared to call him, because I would hardly walk following few days.

- And as last… teleport which would allow me be on two different places at almost same time… ok now I’m pushing already, right? :)

I will certainly add some more, as soon as I remember something more. So Santa and gang, keep checking this. No excuses later on, that you didn’t fulfill my wish, because you didn’t know it :)
