My trigger finger was getting a bit rusty from not doing much last few weeks, and since weather forecast was quite ok, we decided to get out a bit, and go to Pokljuka… more specific to Zajamniki mountain pasture.

It was more or less just a walk, but since I didn’t shoot much lately, I also took part of my equipment with me. I was hoping for some nice weather, but to be honest, I didn’t expect much when we left already. Weather in Kranj was sunny, but there was some strange haze in the air, so I didn’t expect much. When we came to Pokljuka, everything got even worse, and we were somewhere on bottom level of pretty low clouds. After hour of a bit faster walk, we managed to get to one of nicest mountain pastures around. Zajamniki mountain pasture, with about 80 houses laid almost in straight line accross pasture, offers really great view… if you could only see Julian Alps in background. But yesterday, we weren’t this lucky.

So we sattled with what we got. We were sitting for a while, wondering why the hell people have to drive all the way there with cars, just to make annoying noise, and we made few shoots, which can always sell… especially with such magnificient background.

But for really striking ones, we will obviously be back some other time… when weather will be nicer, atmosphere will be colder, and when there will be less people around. It’s annoying to see cars everywhere, especially in such nice environment.

Now I need to get ready for cycling World championships in Mendrisio, Switzerland. I’m leaving on Tuesday morning, so for next week, there will be few more photos and posts here then there normally are… of course if I will have some spare time. This might sound funny, but on such occasions, spare time is luxury we normally don’t have.
