Happy New year everyone! :) I ended year 2009 shooting FIS alpine skiing World cup in Lienz, Austria, and I’m starting year 2010 same way… shooting FIS alpine skiing World cup in Zagreb, Croatia.

I’m sitting in hotel room of 5 star hotel Westin in Zagreb and wondering when should we head up to Sljeme, where women slalom race of FIS alpine skiing World cup will be held tomorrow.

There’s lack of snow, so restrictions are huge. No skis allowed on course for photographers, only 2 spots on course, from which one is shitty one, walking only outside of course etc. etc. So it’s not going to be the most pleasant race I will cover. But what can you do.

At the moment I’m wondering if we should pack our stuff and leave with first shuttle at 5:45am and freeze up for hours, or should we risk and leave at 7:00am, and hope we will be early enough. I hate walking up/down the course, and that’s reason why I always go with skis, but here I have no other chance.

Now we are heading for bib draw for tomorrow’s race, and very short pop to party place, and then back to hotel to catch some sleep, before waking in middle of the night tomorrow morning.
