Sport through the lens

Olympics started, and since I’m not there, and probably will never be, I have month off. This doesn’t mean I don’t do anything, but I do have some more time to do things I love. Yeah after spending almost all my life on skis, I still love skiing, and spending time on skis is best thing I can get. But there’s more then this, and even though there’s no skiing, I still need to make some money. So I need to shoot something else then just skiing, and in this case it was CEV Indesit volleyball Champions league, and EHF women handball Champions league.

I really don’t like shooting volleyball. It would be actually pretty cool sport to shoot, but on Champions league limitations are too big to produce something what I would consider as good photo. I’m not really complaining about this, since I know how those things go, and things are like they are, so there’s useless to feel bad because of this.

On top of that, volleyball is weird sport to shoot for me. It’s extremely fast, and even though it looks good on tv or when watching it live, it’s pretty hard to get some decent photos. But good thing with it is, that I don’t shoot it all that often :)

Handball on the other side is just as fast, and on top of that, players are all squeezed together fighting for ball. But photos are pretty cool because of this fight and lot of emotions.

On the other side hall in Kodeljevo, Ljubljana, is everything but great. It’s dark, with little space, but it has nice “balcony” above, so there are some options for a bit different photos. And that’s not bad :)
