With a bit of delay, I finally got some time and will to write few words about start of FIS Alpine skiing World cup of 2009/10 season. As traditionally Rettenbach glacier above Soelden, Austria was first stop of the season.

Winter is back. That’s good news, but all the joy which came with start of new season in Soelden, Austria, was taken away only 2 days later with some really bad news. I just got info yesterday, that good friend, fellow photographer, and chief of photographers on Zagreb World Cup races, Renco Kosinozic, suddenly died. He was shooting guys and girls of Croatian ski team on Hintertux glacier, while he passed away….

With news like this, there’s really no point of writting much more about last weekend in Soelden… So maybe some other time more about Soelden weekend.

But for now all I can say is, rest in peace my friend. You will be missed, and Zagreb races won’t be same anymore without you being in charge of us. It was pleasure to know you, and it was always fun to have you around!

It’s Thursday evening, and I finished my third pizza in 3 days… yeah tell me about it :) But Thursday evening also means we are half way through. All 3 time trial races are behind us, and all three road races are infront of us… after (almost) free Friday.

It has been a while since my last post. Looking to date of last post (February 26th) feels a little bit more then just a while, and on the other side it feels like time is flying by. I wasn’t all that lazy in between, even though we had some nice holidays during this time, but more about this later. So let’s start story of last 6 months in fast rewind :D

Winter is time, when we cover mostly skiing, so there’s nothing much to write about something else. Since my last entry, there were few more races on program, and we have been covering races in Maribor, Zauchensee, Garmisch and Tarvisio in between.
